This video presents a collection of excerpts from canine olfaction experiments conducted at the Penn State University Gas Dynamics Lab during a research study funded by DARPA. The Schlieren optical technique is used to visualize warm airflows while Bailey, a Golden Retriever, is sniffing. Other dogs and a talcum-powder flow visualization technique are also included, as noted in the voice-over narration. A list of literature references is provided at the end of the video and repeated below: Settles G.S. (2005).
