Twenty years ago I was an addict with depression, anxiety and severe body pain. I turned to yoga for healing and recovery but instead found classes that increased my stress and insecurity, with dogmatic alignment rules meant for people with very different bodies than mine. I almost quit, but then I discovered the intuitive practice of Yin Yoga. I learned to follow my instincts to connect with a deep well of inner resources for healing and recovery. Now at 47, I’m devoted to sharing this approach and helping others. My method is deeply influenced by my longtime yin yoga teacher Paul Grilley and my meditation teacher Lorin Roche who translated the Radiance Sutras. I’ve taught yoga to tens of thousands of beginners at yoga studios since 2002 and I've been sharing my yin yoga teacher trainings internationally since 2013. I owned my yoga studio, Tucson Yoga, for a decade, which had a staff of 10 teachers and served 20,000 students a year. I also managed MC Yogi's studio, Point Reyes Yoga, for 9 years. After managing these large yoga businesses I'm delighted to now be centered at my own cozy online yoga nook.
