How Heat-Resistant Clay Pots Are Made in a Factory | Slip Casting Process

Industrial ceramic cookware production using the slip casting method. This video shows one step in the process of making heat-resistant clay pots used for cooking over fire. Instead of shaping the pottery by hand, liquid clay (called slip) is poured into plaster molds. The clay slowly forms against the mold, creating the shape of the pot before it is removed and prepared for the next stage. This is only one part of the full manufacturing process. In future videos, I’ll be sharing more steps — including drying, trimming, firing in a 1200°C kiln, and the final finished cookware.
