This is reupload of one of my old videos - • [Max Payne 2] Melee Only. No Damage. All E... because, for some reason that one got broken by processing and had very low quality for the first ~17 minutes. Sadly, back when I was recording this vid, my PC was a lot weaker, so it's still in 30fps, and picture quality is a lot worse than it would be now - but I slightly upscaled it to 2k, so it should actually look slightly better than the first one. Mona uses Dragunov for up to 28 enemies) No damage taken: That applies only for me and characters with health indicator (Max in P2C5/P2C6 and Vinnie in P3C4). Protecting civilians is mostly impossible, like in P1C5 - they get killed almost no matter what, if I don’t shoot all enemies fast. And I do not count damage taken in dreams/cutscenes. On exceptions I have 2 notes: 1. In P3C8 and P3C9 I could technically get 9mm, if I wanted this run to be “Melee and 9mm only” by making enemies run out of bullets for their normal weapons. But for me it didn’t matter what to use besides melee. 2. In P2C5 and P2C6 there is a similar choice on using 9mm or SR. But with 9mm it’s virtually impossible to have Max at full hp, and it’s a lottery of guns being accurate. Small note - Max can kill 2 snipers in P2C5. 1 - get to the window and just hit in melee while looking in his direction, he’ll run towards Max. 2 - after getting to the scaffolding, just go ahead inside the building. Max will go too, killing sniper by himself. So, shooting exceptions: Unavoidable: 01:14:40 P2C5 - Shot 3 guys on the ground, covering Max. 01:21:31 P2C6 - Shot a sniper to clear way for Max. 02:02:37 P3C8 - Shot 2 guys at the very start of the stage. Unless those 2 guys are killed, front doors won’t open. Maybe it's possible to use exploding containers to kill them, but it's entirely out of my control - and maybe not even possible at all. 02:18:20 P3C9 - Very end. Shot 3 holding mechanisms once, then 4 more mechanisms twice. Avoidable: 00:04:20 P1C1 - Shot 2 enemies running away in the big room, next to Mona’s lift. If not killed, they just run away and disappear. If I don’t enter that room from the top, they just don’t spawn. 00:17:00 P1C4 - Shot 1 sniper at the very start. If not killed right away, he disappears. 00:17:50 P1C4 - Shot 4 guys that get out of the van at the beginning of the stage. 00:23:38 P1C4 - Shot 1 guy with a shotgun at the very end of the stage. 00:37:42 P2C1 - Shot 2 guys at the very start of the stage. One on the ground can be hit with melee once, but not killed. 00:15:01 to 01:17:06 [P2C5] - shot up to 13 guys, covering Max from the buildings. 01:16:54 and 01:18:54 [P2C5] - shot 2 snipers as well, covering Max. 01:19:40 [P2C6] - shot up to 5 guys, covering Max. 01:21:35 [P2C6] - shot up to 4 guys with SMG’s, covering Max. I’m writing “up to”, since Max can kill some on his own, but it doesn’t matter much, he cannot kill everyone. 01:43:16 P3C3 - Shot 2 commandos, at the beginning of the stage. If not killed they run away and disappear. 02:12:08 P3C8 - Shot 1 guy who drops explosive barrel on me (2nd explosion of the stage) - not entirely sure, maybe he dies by himself in its explosion.
