Celeste Secret Santa Collab 2024 - YIIIK by Gamation

group yiiiking starts in 10 minutes I made this map! And I don't really like it that much. I made it based on a prompt that said to create a "spiritual successor to BADELINE: The Super Fusion Side," and I do think I accomplished that. But the gameplay in this map is generally pretty jank and inconsistent, the deco's just okay and doesn't really elevate any of the original maps, and the story has some serious pacing issues. I do think a lot of the jokes still land, and the audio is all fantastic - shoutout to vitellary for their amazing mashups, which you only hear parts of in this video, and to Mario for voicing Mario. The bossfight is my favorite room in the map and I think I did a great job making it fun but not too hard. The rest I'm very iffy on. At least it was beaten before release, so it's got that going for it. If you want to play a fun game, see if you can name every single map that's referenced in this one! There's 40 total spread across dialog and actual rooms (plus 8A.) The map is named as a reference to the video game YIIK, but I mainly did this to jumpscare people who are deathly afraid of the suburbs and quirky indie RPGs. It's not actually too connected besides some minor dialogue.
