In this video, we travel through the south of New Zealand and explore the historic city of Dunedin, located on the South Island. Our journey starts with a scenic road trip from Queenstown to Dunedin — a drive of about 3 hours and 40 minutes through changing landscapes and unexpected spring snow. In Dunedin, we visit some of the city’s most famous attractions, including Baldwin Street, the steepest residential street in the world, and Signal Hill, offering panoramic views over the city and Otago Harbour. We also explore Dunedin’s rich history and architecture, stopping by First Church of Otago, the heart of the city at The Octagon, the iconic Dunedin Railway Station, and the historic campus of the University of Otago. Our plan to visit the Otago Peninsula wildlife areas was changed due to stormy weather and road closures, so we headed to Sandfly Bay instead — a wild and remote beach known for its massive sand dunes and wildlife such as New Zealand sea lions, fur seals, and rare yellow-eyed penguins. This video captures Dunedin as a city where history, wildlife, dramatic landscapes, and unpredictable weather all come together. Thanks for watching, and I hope you enjoy this journey through one of New Zealand’s most unique cities. #Dunedin #DunedinNZ #NewZealand #NewZealandTravel #SouthIslandNZ #VisitDunedin #QueenstownToDunedin #RoadTripNZ #NewZealandRoadTrip #Otago #OtagoPeninsula #BaldwinStreet #SignalHill #SandflyBay #DunedinRailwayStation #FirstChurchOfOtago #UniversityOfOtago #HistoricCities #WildlifeNZ #PenguinsNZ #YellowEyedPenguin #SeaLionsNZ #FurSeals #ScenicDrive #SpringInNZ #SnowInSpring #TravelVlog #NZVlog #ExploreNewZealand #natureandhistory
