Power Wheels Dune Racer – 20v and Variable Accelerator Pedal 1/5/2024 Video #1 This video is a only a PORTION of converting my 2nd Dune Racer from 12v to 20v Black & Decker lithium batteries and adding a variable speed pedal and controller ( ESC PWM ). There are other videos to cover the wiring and other parts of the conversion project. The next video #2 will review the original and revised wiring diagrams. In this video, I detail the alteration and mounting of the accelerator pedal to the Dune Racer floorplate. I removed one tab from the pedal. I made several cuts to the floor plate. Off camera, the wire needed to be lengthened to reach the control box in the rear. I used my B&D Rotary Tool with a cutting disc and a rotozip drill to make the changes.
