Buying a Bay Boat?? WATCH THIS FIRST! Running sloppy seas with Sea Pro 248 Bay Boat

#seaproboats #bayboats #centerconsole Sea pro 248 Bay Boat running in various conditions at various speeds. So many people ask me if this boat can handle the same conditions that a deep-V can. I have been running a Sea Pro Bay boat since 2003. From Oregon inlet in December to Gloucester in July this boat has seen every possible condition and it can flat out handle WAY MORE THAN I CAN. It is way more fishable than a deep V because of its large decks and lower freeboard. It’s more stable at rest because of its lower deadrise at the stern yet cuts through the snot comfortably with its super sharp entry point at the bow. A deep V will keep you dryer in high winds and will feel softer head seas. The largest difference is in the freeboard and deadrise. A deep V has higher deadrise angles and higher freeboard, but I don’t feel that it is terribly more sea-worthy because of this. Of course in catastrophic conditions a deep V is the better choice, but it would most likely be conditions that I would NEVER fish, in which I would trade a bay for a deep V. Like I said, it can handle WAY more than I can and that is more than enough for ME👍 I considerer myself very fortunate to call Sea Pro Boats my partner. I bought myself my first new Sea Pro In 2004.
