When Madness is a Gift: The TRUTH of the Tortured Artist

The tortured artist or tortured genius trope refers to mentally ill creative people who are celebrated and romanticized for their achievements either because of or in spite of their illnesses. In this video I discuss the scientific links between mental illness traits and creativity in regards to low latent inhibition and divergent and convergent thinking, and how this relates to schizophrenia, bipolar disorders, and ADHD.
