The three-back has given Barcelona more of a platform to be able to play out from the back, particularly through opposition pressure. It means that more people are in deeper positions to show for and receive the ball. This all plays a part in their emphasis on playing through the thirds and working the ball up the field. The formation allows Barca to keep the three attackers on the pitch. These are the key highlight of the team. Their sheer amount of movement means that they can be found a nywhere across the entire width of the pitch; thus making them harder for the opposition to pick up. Out of possession, Koeman's side look to counter-press early after losing the ball in order to regain it as quickly as possible. However, if they fail, they revert back to a mid-block and regain their shape. It's worth noting that Barcelona have the highest possession percentage in Europe, indicating that they rarely have to resort to such measures. ---------------- FIFA 21 Custom Tactics Playlist - https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLc...
