Hike along the L-40 Canal at the Marshall Wildlife Refuge

The Arthur Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge is one of the largest wildlife refuges in the US. It encompasses an area greater than 145,000 acres and is located in Palm Beach County, Florida. I live near this area but had never visited it prior to this hike. There is an entrance fee of $10 for the day or $25 for an annual pass. The fee is per vehicle and its occupants. So, very affordable for the yearly pass. There are numerous trails within the preserve. I decided to hike the L-40 Canal north of Lee Road. It is a 5.1 mile loop from the parking lot. It is not very shaded so bring water, suncreen and cover up. There are no restrooms along the trail. I imagine that there are restrooms in the park, but I didn't use them or seek them out. Lot's of bicycles along the beginning of the hike especially on weekend mornings. I hope that you enjoy the video. Thank you for watching!
