Battle for the Podium at the 2024 June Sprints

Thanks for coming to my YouTube channel. This is onboard video from my Spec Racer Ford Gen 3 during the Feature race at the 2024 June Sprints. The June Sprints are the second biggest SCCA road race of the year behind the Runoffs. We had a huge field of 73 cars. I started in 9th after a wet/drying qualifying session on Friday and mixed conditions again in Saturday's race. I dropped back to 12th after being a bit late on the trigger at the start. After the restart, I was able to work forward and got to 3rd place with 4 laps to go. The leading two drivers had a small gap, but had broken the draft with my pack. We gained on them over the closing laps, but were two far back to contend for the lead. I ended up 3rd by 0.019 seconds at the line. This was one of the hardest, closest races of my career! We have a fiberglass body, 1.6L Ford engine, and a SADEV sequential 6-speed transmission. All cars are basically identical with a sealed engine and transmission.
