We continue this week with building our raised garden beds using only wood found on the land. We have a special guest visit to teach us about the trees on our property and really dive into this epic garden build. This being our first organic garden that we are starting ourselves beginning to end will show us if we can grow the majority of our food while living off the grid. Its a lot of hard work but filling us with excitement to know we are on the road to self sustainability. Growing our own organic food while battling the everyday setbacks of off grid living is surely testing our grit and will versus that of nature but together we know we will build the homestead of our dreams. Although our Bushcraft skills are at a minimum we keep pushing forward and with every failure we learn a better way of how to homestead. Living off the land is not something we ever thought was possible in today's society but with determination to escape the rat race, we inch our way to a happier, healthier existence not only in harmony with our own bodies but in oneness with nature all around us.
