WISH 4 Stars “A Magical Classic” We now have to wait until March 2025 for the live action remake of Snow White, the first film from Walt Disney Animation Studios way back in 1937. Wish has a heap of ingredients to make this a big hit with families over Summer and is seen by the filmmakers as a way to recognise 100 years of Disney sprinkling a heap of Easter Egg references to previous films. If you're looking for a beautifully animated movie with fun characters and memorable songs you’re in the right place. For me this also has the best animated Disney villain in a long time with Chris Pine voicing King Magnifico, the kind of ruler who makes his people hand over their wishes. A young woman named Asha voiced superbly by Ariana DeBose applies to be his apprentice and discovers a dark secret.
