Wiesbaden, Germany is the capital of the federal state of Hesse. This city is known for its elegant villas. There are some historic spa houses and a total of 26 hot springs. The city is one of the oldest spa towns in Europe with roots stretching back to Roman times. On this tour we start on the city center's market square. There we see the city hall and city palace besides the Evangelical Market church. Later we pass the Kurhaus with its grand casino where Dostoevsky famously gambled. This area is a centerpiece of the city, showing the wealth of the Belle Epoque era. Close by is the Hessisches Staatstheater which is built with a blend of neo-baroque and neoclassical styles. Our tour continues to finish a round the city center of Wiesbaden, arriving at the market square again where we started.
