And one Sunday, we took out the car and hit the road! We were left mesmerised by how Udvada lay there, still in a time out of a history book. The sleepy yet colourful bylanes. The thatched roofs yet elegant houses. The serene fire temple and the warmth of the locals. We also look at a small yet important aspect of Indian history and culture which is associated with the first Parsis migrating from then Persia into the shores of India in Gujarat. The fire temple in Udvada is hence considered sacred. Truly, a town that deserves to be visited. The museum, beach and local Parsi delicacies is a combination of simplicity and elegance.
