-17º Ice Camping For the Very First Time In My Minivan Check out my WINTER Stealth Camping Playlist: https://tinyurl.com/vzurcsvb Join this channel to get access to perks: / @kbdproductionstv Visit Our Website: https://kbdproductionstv.com/ -------------------------------------------------------- In this winter adventure vlog, I take on one of my most nerve-wracking challenges yet — driving my minivan camper out onto a frozen lake for the very first time. This video starts in the small Ontario town of Belle, where I warm up with some incredible Jamaican food from Taste of the Grill, including spicy beef patties, a jerk chicken burrito, and their legendary Jamaican chicken soup. Supporting local mom-and-pop restaurants is always part of the journey. From there, things get real fast. I head toward Lake Simcoe, anxiety through the roof, knowing I’m about to drive my own vehicle onto the ice. With reports of 18–22 inches of ice, conditions are technically safe — but that doesn’t stop the fear when your tires roll over frozen water. Along the way, emergency vehicles on the lake add even more tension, reminding us how unpredictable winter adventures can be. Once on the ice, I carefully set up camp, battle deep snow, and even get briefly stuck — shovel to the rescue. This video captures the raw reality of winter van life, including cold temperatures, frozen gear, staying visible to snowmobiles, and figuring out how far is “too far” for a non-4x4 van. The night is spent cooking, staying warm with hot water bottles, watching movies, and listening to the quiet beauty of a frozen lake. Morning brings frozen water bottles, a tense engine start, and one last heart-pounding drive off the ice — followed by a well-earned latte. If you enjoy stealth camping, winter van life, real food reviews, and honest outdoor adventures, this one’s for you. -------------------------------------------------------- MY GEAR; The following are Amazon Affiliate Links, which earn us a tiny commission but it all adds up so thank you for using them!
