Life on the farm in Phetchabun is never quiet! Today, we’re finally clearing out the old property markers left by the previous owner. Pinky’s brother and cousin brought the tractor in to help us "yard out" the posts and smooth out the field so we can finally get some proper grass growing. But it wasn't all work—Pinky’s cousin surprised us with a massive, fresh honeycomb he found in the wild (yes, the bees were still on it!). It’s about as fresh as honey gets. We also head out to harvest some Guinea grass (or maybe Elephant grass?) for the cows and my Sulcata tortoises. It’s a workout, but seeing the animals happy makes it worth it. To top the day off, I had a close encounter with a Forest Scorpion. I decided to help him find a new home away from the house... hopefully without getting pinched! In this episode: Undividing the Land: Why I’m destroying a failed subdivision. Wild Thai Honey: Tasting honeycomb fresh from the tree. Farm Fuel: Harvesting grass for the cows and tortoises. Scorpion Relocation: Handling a (mostly) harmless Forest Scorpion.
