The first demo tape by Nuclear Crucifixion (originally spelled "Nuclear Crucifixtion"), which was a band that featured some of my friends (Brian Patton, Glenn Rambo, & Donovan Punch) who went on to form Soilent Green. A few riffs from a couple of these songs later appeared in the Soilent Green songs "Spirit of the Earth" & "Numb Around the Heart". Nuclear Crucifixion played at the first local gig that I ever attended, in 1987, alongside Flagrantz, Blatant Frustration (Jimmy Bower's old band), & Incubus. 1. Nuclear Vomit 2. Poser Preacher 3. Nuclear Crucifixion Glenn Rambo - Vocals Donovan Punch - Guitar Brian Patton - Guitar Dave Moran - Bass Darren Schallenberg - Drums The band photo in the video was snapped by Al Hodge of Tungsten, I believe. It was taken in Donovan's grandmother's garage (the band's practice space), which had previously been used by her as a dance studio. Soilent Green practiced there when they formed, too. My brother Tracy (R.I.P.) & I spent many a fun/wild night in that room with Donovan, Glenn, Brian, Tommy Buckley, etc. To hear a Soilent Green rehearsal in that room that my brother & I recorded in 1989, go here: • Soilent Green - Rehearsal '89 In the early '00s, I started going to nearly all of Soilent Green's band practices for a few years with my friend Tommy, who is Soilent's drummer, & I did some travelling with them, too. My old band Apostasy played some great shows with Soilent Green in the early '90s. It was always a total blast. Hope you enjoy these recordings from the early days, everyone... Keep it heavy.
