One Day More -- Les Misérables -- ASL Theatrical Rough Translation

This video was used among a team of three ASL interpreter-translators to prepare a theatrical translation of the song "One Day More", the finale to Act I of Les Misérables. The translation shown here is rough, and was not the final translation used in the performance. Instead, this video serves to highlight the theatrical possibilities of ASL translations for songs where voices overlap in dissonance and accord. Fellow interpreter-translators are invited to comment on the usefulness of the videography technique presented here, as well as the stylistic choices made to convey the voice patterns of the song in theatrical ASL.
