First 2022 Kawasaki KLR 650 Oil Change + Tusk Motorcycle Oil Change Kit Review

With 600 miles on the clock, it's time for my first 2022 Kawasaki KLR 650 oil change! Come along as I walk you through the entire KLR 650 oil change process from start to finish. Fortunately, the process for changing the oil on the new Kawasaki KLR 650 is basically no different from the process on the previous models, and with the help of the awesome all in one Tusk motorcycle oil change kit from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, the whole task is a breeze from start to finish. Figuring out how to change the oil on a Kawasaki KLR 650 is super easy and anyone can do it. Just make sure you have everything you need before you start and be careful not to overtighten any of the bolts when you're reinstalling the drain bolt and bolts on the oil filter housing. Make sure you're aware of the Kawasaki KLR 650 oil change capacity before you start refilling the engine (it's 2.1 quarts on the 2022 model I have). I'm also taking the opportunity to install a new Tusk low profile magnetic drain bolt in my KLR. This will give me a little bit more ground clearance and remove one of the most staggering design flaws and potential problems from the design of the KLR 650. Installing a new drain plug is super easy if you do it when you're doing your KLR oil change, and I'll walk you through the whole process in this video.
