Nature based Celtic Christianity is banished and the authoritarian religion of Rome takes control. The people become fractured from the earth and their roots. A growing materialist darkness takes hold, greedily sucking all for self. In pockets, Shamans and Pagans secretly commune with the earth, celebrate and heal, passing an esoteric knowledge through blood and spirit lines. 1890 - Bram Stoker sits in a room overlooking Whitby town. A ship sails in to harbour. In his mind’s eye, the author sees a black hound leaping ashore. His eyes trace the 199 steps to the ruined abbey and his pen flies across the page … 2019 – Beacons of Shamanic healing grow, nurtured underground for centuries, they burst into networks of light, for those who can perceive. The Darkness perceives. Rising Gothic energy focuses on Whitby. A communal consciousness of The Dark unwittingly manifests a truth that has been growing in the shadows. A truth that is awakened to the threat of the light. A truth hidden by fiction. A truth that is Dracula. His one mission, to extinguish The Light, The Unity with Nature, The Wholeness of Spirit. Only the communal consciousness kept alight can redeem The Darkness, led by Van Helsing, Warrior of The Shamans, Seer, Protector of The Earth. Character Files VAN HELSING (45) – Warrior of The Shamans, Seer, Protector of The Earth. Lives alone in a Whitby cliff top Lighthouse, poised between sea and earth. He is the soul that links the networks of light, underground Shamanic webs of healing, whose power grows as the threat to The Earth magnifies. Men of materiality bore down. Seeking trapped fuels. Fracturing sacred Ley lines. Rupturing the energy arteries of Life itself. And Dracula, Growing in Darkness for long centuries is unleashed at the zenith of his power. In the place where nature was banished , can Van Helsing lead his tribe to encompass and redeem the one truth which threatens the Human soul? DRACULA ( Ancient) – The Power of Darkness , conceived when humans were severed from Nature and from their souls. A malignant foetus, growing in the shadows, centuries old. It perceives the Shamanic strength, nurtured underground, a twin of Light. Both in the womb of the earth, each responding to timeless forces, patterns of impurity. The balance becomes skewed. Surging Gothic convergence unwittingly strengthens The Dark Force. A power so destructive that when unleashed it will rage a war on Light and Life itself. Can Warrior Shaman Van Helsing, Nemesis of The Darkness, lead his people to a redemption of the soul of Humankind and of The Earth? LUCY – (34) – Shaman , Herbal Healer, close to Van Helsing and part of his tribe. A pure descendant of the Shamanic line, driven underground for centuries. She specialises in Heart Medicine, communicates with plants and is given remedies to heal the root of all illness, the fracturing of The Heart, of The Soul, of Love. Strong but sensitive, she feels a shadow growing, a wound in The Earth. Unknowing its source, but perceiving the peril, her own heart has become clouded. Following the death of her brother, Van Helsing takes on the role of older sibling, confidante, keeper of the contract with the Earth. However, as his feelings for Lucy deepen, she confides in best friend Meena, and her soul is drawn to another place… MEENA – (29) Goth who visited Whitby and fell in love with its conflict of Light and Dark. Cultured and confused, she met and became best friends with Lucy. They share a cottage on the East Cliff, below the Abbey. Realisation of mutual attraction manifests tension in their relationship. And Meena’s unspoken jealousy of Van Helsing’s close affection for Lucy threatens not only their friendship, but the future of Earth’s soul. Realisation of the reality of The Dark Force which is Dracula and The Gothic part in his Growing Power leads Meena to her ultimate trial.
