Scordatura is a word that means: ''unusual tuning for string instruments''. So the title of the album is a metaphor that means 3 things: 1) I literally used different tunings on acoustic guitar for many songs (like open D) 2) I arranged and recorded real string instruments other than guitar (cello), played by my friend Louis-Solem. 3) At a bigger level, it meant that I was doing something different - mainly writing most of the songs on piano or starting them from a different instrument than my main. This is a cinematic album, full of poignant and heartbreaking moments, but also full of lightness and hope. I also re-explored the concept of seamless songs, and divided the album in 3 different parts: Days of Reverie, Days of Serenity and Days of Melancholy. Finally, it's the first album that I financed using a Kickstarter campaign and printed physical copies for. Thanks to my family, friends, followers and backers for having made this project a reality!
