If she had to name a few artists: Seamus Blake, Joshua Redman, Maria Schneider and Cannonball Adderly. Kika: “he is one of my biggest examples he plays so effortlessly but at the same time, doesn't. He makes sure to take you with him in his music. I always feel happy listening to him. Waltz for Debby is one of the first vinyl records I bought.” In 2021, Kika released the album ‘Lumen’ together with cellist Jörg Brinkmann and pianist Martin Fondse and the live album ‘No Man's Land’ was released with Pynarello, Wolfert Brederode and Jasper van Hulten. Her new album 'Mind's Eye', released this year, is an ode to the imagination and again a contribution to Kika's artistic quest for what makes us human.
