We are joined by Dr Magdy Aglan and Sannah Khan to discuss the importance and challenges faced in understanding and managing pain. Dr Magdy Aglan is a Consultant in Pain Medicine, North West of England. He has been a consultant for 23 years. Initially he was doing pain management and anesthesia, but for the last 10 years he is full time pain specialist. He has worked in USA for 1 year as a visiting professor for University of Irvine , California. He currently applies his trade as the Medical Director of Pain Consultants Ltd. Sannah Khan is a surgical pharmacist working in the private sector in England. She is the pain management lead for peri-operative pain at the hospital and is currently training in oncology. Sannah hosts a podcast for Primary Healthcare Development, aimed at pre-registration pharmacists, and writes exam questions for their mock exams. She has also created and designed a bag for the transportation of controlled drugs in pharmacies and hospitals in order to address dispensing errors arise in the community involving controlled drugs.
