ReAct Theatre's 1995 World Premiere production of David Hsieh's one hour adaptation of Oscar Wilde's classic British comedy The Importance of Being Earnest. The story of two London dandies and the results of their adventures into the country side. Directed by David Hsieh, this production features the talents of Alisa Cray, T.J. Langley, John Bianchi, Leslie Jean Warner, Lisa Marie Nakamura, Emily Jo Testa, Gordon Hendrickson and Don P. Bradshaw. Our production was presented at the Theatre Off Jackson with productions of The Loveliest Afternoon of the Year by John Guare and Eugene Ionesco's The Bald Soprano under the banner title "Loves, Lies and Language." A revised version of this adaptation which added in Cecily & Gwendolen's tea scene, premiered at the the 1996 Seattle Fringe Theatre Festival with a slightly different cast and played to sell out crowds.
