Unfortunately, it seems time is not on the series' side, as many have noted that the games have aged poorly, especially in regards to the humour. I have been a huge fan of the Borderlands series since the second game and have well over 1,000 hours in it, so I was worried; could the game I enjoyed so much at one point really have aged that badly? Will I go back and find a boring game with cringey humour and subpar gameplay? Well, I decided to go back to Borderlands 2 and take a look at everything the game has to offer, and I’d like to take some time to explain to you not just how the game has admittedly changed in the years since, but how it is still as timeless as ever. If Borderlands 2 is indicative of anything; it’s how much our standards have changed, not just in regards to humour but in regards to games as a whole. It’s not hard to say the game's perception has changed; but my goal here isn’t to view the game through hindsight, lambasting humour that in another ten years could come back around to being appreciated. My interest will instead be focused at how the games ideas and themes work within the game itself; because the reality is, even if people these days might not admit it, Borderlands 2 was received well when it released, specifically in regards the humour, but further analysis of the games mechanics and comedy, disconnected from the hype can provide new insight to the discussion around the game, especially in the wake of the 3rd game which some felt was disappointing, and with the new movie that; according to some early screenings, isn’t very good. Borderlands 2 is a game I find myself returning to in light of the newly released Borderlands movie. Instead of starting with a Borderlands Review, I figured I'd skip to my favourite, and make a Borderlands 2 Review, Borderlands 2 Critique, Borderlands 2 Analysis, and see if Borderlands 2 years later, is still good. Did Borderlands 2 age poorly? I found myself asking this after seeing clips of the game circulating online. Has Borderlands 2 Aged Poorly? the answer is no, but not in the way you may think. Ultimatley, like the other games, Borderlands 3, Borderlands The Pre Sequel, and Tales from the Borderlands, the series has had a rather consistent identity. The mechanics of a Borderlands Raid Boss will be a primary focus in this video, on top of answering is Borderlands 2 still good? This could be the beginning of a Borderlands series retrospective, where we see how the different characters like Handsome Jack, Moxxi, Hammerlock, Claptrap, Scooter, to determine if Borderlands is not funny, fun, or any of the above.
