Key Text: Ephesians 4:32 Speaker: Phenny Maneno Today’s Children’s Sabbath message reminds us of one of the most important teachings in the Bible: forgiveness. Ephesians 4:32 encourages us to “be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” This verse teaches children and adults alike that forgiveness brings peace, freedom, and healing. We explore two powerful Bible stories that demonstrate forgiveness in action: • The story of Joseph, who forgave his brothers even after they sold him into slavery. Instead of revenge, Joseph chose love, compassion, and restoration — showing us that forgiveness can turn pain into purpose. • The parable of the unforgiving servant, where a master forgave a huge debt, yet the servant refused to forgive someone who owed him far less. Jesus used this story to teach that we cannot receive God’s forgiveness while withholding it from others.
