Kanungu Government Project Obstruction: Matanda Irrigation Scheme Suspects Remanded

A court in Kanungu District presided over by judge Patrick Mugisha has dismissed the bail application of three individuals accused of obstructing the construction of the Matanda Irrigation Scheme. The suspects were reportedly arrested on the orders of the army and the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Kanungu. According to the court, the individuals who applied to stand as their sureties were found unqualified, leading the judge to deny bail. The accused have been remanded in custody until tomorrow as the case continues.
