Here is the finished product after installing linear actuators on the bed in our Big Country 3900 FLP fifth wheel RV. After we added a couple of layers of memory foam and turned the bed storage into a walk in kitty box (cat door installed on left side) it became a hassle to lift the bed to clean out the litter. Here is my solution: two linear actuators + controller + vehicle remote controller + some engineering. Found a 12 volt circuit near the bed (was a light) and spliced in to the controller and wired the two actuator motors in parallel. They can get out of sync once in a while, in which case you can disconnect one, move the other until they are in sync by supporting the bed manually and then reconnect the other motor. I added a cord to the quick connectors on the actuators so if the power was out or motor failed I could pull the coord to disconnect the motors from the bed so I could manually lift it.
