Hey everyone, it's Evangeline right here at etrailer. Today we have the solid mount kit for your ARB Elements Cooler. This is gonna allow you to permanently mount your cooler or your fridge to wherever you need it. Since this is a fridge that is designed to be okay outside in the elements in the weather, in the rain, this matches that durability. Meaning if you wanna secure your fridge to your back of your truck bed or outside on your trailer. This will all work together. Without any separate mounting kits, the fridge just has legs that allow you to sit it into your truck bed. However, if you load it up with all kinds of things and you start driving around, you may cause your fridge to slide around. So this negates that problem. This works with the mounting points that are currently on your fridge and it does come with hardware. Something you might compare this to is the Fridge Slide available for the ARB elements cooler. The fridge slide is great if you want to be able to slide your fridge out to get better access to it. However, the fridge slide does take up a lot of space, is a bit pricier than the solid mounting kit, plus does sit a bit higher up. So depending on some of your situations or locations where you want to install your fridge, why pay extra for features you don't use when you could just get a solid mounting kit Just like how the cooler lid can be locked to protect the contents. The solid mount kit also has security bolts that will prevent people from just grabbing your cooler. So if you really wanna focus on security, this is the way to go. Solid mount does not necessarily mean permanent mount, though. If you do loosen those security bolts, you're still able to slide the fridge out of their brackets and lift up and remove. So if you're at the campsite and you just wanna hang out with your fridge freezer, that's totally an option still for you. They do give you the security bit in order to loosen and tighten down those bolts, so please make sure you don't lose this piece when you get your solid mount kit. Other than that, when I was working with the ARB Elements Cooler, with this being a very hefty but also flashy fridge freezer, I do understand the want to make sure that it is secure and locked, whether it's the lid or the cooler itself. It's nice that there are different options from ARB to make sure that everything is secure. I personally use the fridge slide a little bit more, but that just because when I have it set up like this, I like being able to slide the fridge out to get closer to my camp kitchen area, but it's totally up to you and how you wanna use it as well as what setup you are installing this into. So speaking of, let's go take a look at the process for how I got everything installed. On your Elements Fridge, there will be four screws. So I use a T45 Torx bit in order to loosen those bolts. So the further most out bolts, avoid the middle one. Now install the hardware included with your kit, you are gonna have this security bolt and you are gonna put a stainless steel washer on first and then a nylon washer. You're then going to thread those onto your fridge. So there's gonna be four of these. As you thread, do not tighten it down all the way. You wanna leave some space between the washers for your bracket, so mark out where the brackets go on the mounting surface, then remove the brackets and place them back onto the surface, lining up with the lines and marks you made. Now you're gonna go look around and see where in these options would make the most sense for where you mount this. If you have it on a truck bed, you need to make sure you're away from like electrical cords, wiring, things like that. We today are installing this to this piece of wood just because it's easier to demonstrate and also we can just lift the wood around to wherever we actually need to mount it. Now with that in mind, we're then going to make an X right here where I would like to drill a hole. (tool buzzes) After the holes are drilled, go ahead and put the brackets back onto those holes, making sure that they line up and your brackets are facing the same way. So the hardware included here are these M8 bolts and the washers. If you need to rivet into your truck bed because you can't get access to putting a net there, then you are gonna have to use different hardware.
