Title: Apple Orchard Falls Trail | Blue Ridge Parkway Waterfall Hike | Virginia, USA This was my first time at Blue Ridge Parkway and it did not disappoint. Even if you don’t want to go on any hikes, there are plenty of breathtaking views just driving along the parkway that will make it worth your time. Apple Orchard Falls Trail is 1.5 miles from the trailhead to the falls making it a 3 mile trail in total. It is mostly downhill all the way to the falls which means it is mostly uphill all the way back. There are a few bridges, sets of stairs, some minor waterfalls and beautiful lookouts along the way. It is definitely safe enough to do with children as there were several families on the trail and the bridge at the waterfall makes a wonderful place to take family pictures. Apple Orchard Falls is around 200 ft tall making it one of Virginia’s best waterfalls and thus, one of the best hikes in Virginia.
