Originally supplied new in the UK in 1964, then shipped to New Zealand by its UK owner in the Spring of 1973 where it was registered as CG 1894. The history file contains the New Zealand Certificate Of Registration that documents 4 private keepers before returning to the UK in the Spring of 1994. The car was spotted in a Christchurch, New Zealand Museum called Dr Heins Classic Car Collection by Merchant Seaman Mr Warburton who purchased the car and set about repatriating it back to the UK. The car was shipped on 1st January 1994 on the Vessel Mairangi Bay from Lyttelton, New Zealand to Tilbury Docks, London. All duties were paid and the car was registered in the UK on 21st February 1994, registration number XFX 395B. The history file is simply outstanding. It contains a photograph album including pictures of the car in the museum and Mr Warburton's personal comments on the car before, during and after restoration, detailing interior refit, engine rebuild and body restoration. There's a box file packed with invoices from 1994 to the present day documenting the full restoration which cost circa £45,000 and completed in the Summer of 2014, MOTs back to the first on 17th February 1994 documenting 34,051 miles.
