Chinese New Year 2026 in Chiang Mai...The year of the Horse.

DTU got there early to see how the show comes together. Transportation from our hotel came from a motorbike which I found on GRAB(this is an experience in its self!). 1 way ride was about $.68 USD. This was a chance to walk around Chinatown and visit the local shops and markets as well. The celebration is very popular and draws in many, many people for the parade and celebration. If you enjoy street food...do not miss this shin dig. I have never seen such variety in my life.
