In today’s episode, the Rust Syndicate finally enters the story as we learn Taunie has taken a hefty loan tied to this suspicious organization. Their leader, Mr. Corbeau, demands a meeting, so we head to their headquarters unsure of what will unfold. After a tense discussion, Corbeau decides to hold Taunie’s debt over our heads and claims Team MZ is now responsible for the interest, putting us in debt for a staggering 1,000,000 Poké Dollars! Thankfully, Corbeau offers an alternative to paying it all upfront, and the episode ends with the pressure of what he may ask from us next. Afterward, we push our research forward by catching new Pokémon in Wild Zones 14 and 15, then wrap up with some special exploration at Hotel Richissime and the Lumiose Museum. The debt is real, the pressure is on, and whatever Corbeau wants next can’t be good.
