(12 Aug 2014) FOR CLEAN VERSION SEE STORY NUMBERS: 2017588, 2017590 BANDERAS, SNIPES, LUTZ REMEMBER ROBIN WILLIAMS IN LA Antonio Banderas remembers Robin Williams from "Hook." Wesley Snipes worked with him on the 1995 cross-dressing film "To Wong Foo ..." and Kellan Lutz is friends with Williams' daughter Zelda. The action star-filled cast of "The Expendables 3" premiered their movie at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Monday night just steps away from where Williams' Walk of Fame star was being turned into a shrine after he was found dead at his home of an apparent suicide. And it turned out the "Expendables" had more connections than you'd think to the standup comedian and actor. "It has been sad and shocking actually," said Banderas. "The world has lost one of its biggest stars. For decades this guy entertained a lot of people around the world. He was a great comedian. And to make people laugh in our days is a serious business. ... just when I arrived to America, I saw 'Hook.' I remember that. One of the first movies that I saw here." Kellan Lutz said he considers Williams' daughter Zelda a friend but hadn't heard about her father's death until he hit the premiere arrivals line. "I just feel like I shouldn't be here. I feel like I should be with Zelda, his daughter -- just being there," Lutz said. "I just heard about it four interviews down. It's just tragic. I really wanted to work with him. He's a legend and he always put a smile on my face, watching him work. So my heart goes out to his family, his loved ones. And we lost an angel." Snipes said he had dinner with Williams at his house after working on "To Wong Foo ..." "I had a chance to work with him so I saw him up close and personal. And wow," he said. "I saw a man who was blessed with the ability to have an antenna that could pick up on some of the best improv and the best moments, spontaneous reaction type of performance art on the planet -- it was astonishing." Terry Crews rattled off his favorite Williams performances, saying, "My heart is broken today. I cannot tell you. A comedic genius -- a legend -- is gone." Crews praised Williams' manic approach to comedy. "That comes from being a pure person. So you have nothing to hide. You just let it all out. And he was that guy. On stage, he would just run -- and it was a marvel to watch. You will never, ever see anything like that again. Ever," the former NFL player turned actor said.
