Ever thought about how to build a folding bed in your camper van? This video shows our DIY van bed build in our Mitsubishi Delica 4x4 van conversion. The bed is a folding design, sized to fit a twin sized mattress. We did this because it is relatively easy to find a tri-fold mattress for an affordable price, compared to buying custom pieces of foam. The bed folds up into a couch and the mattress stays on the whole time. The design for the folding bed was inspired by so called “rock and roll” style beds used in factory conversions. This is the second episode in our 4x4 Delica van conversion series! The van we are using is a 1998 Mitsubishi Delica, originally built in Japan. It is the L400 model with a V6 Gasoline engine, 4x4, locking rear differentials for better off-road performance and plenty of room in the back for our conversion! We also have a large metal roof rack and ladder that will allow us to carry more cargo. Thanks for watching!
