Joe Medosch from Retrotec is going to show us how the rCloud works for HERS Raters, HVAC, and General Contractors. This is a cool tool to have when testing a house or HVAC Unit. Right now Retrotec, Calcerts and CHEERS are working with one other to help sync with the CEC Non-Residential or Residential Compliance Form Reports to make it simple. Details: Retrotec has recently released a new data management system for the high-performance building industry. The rCloud system synchronizes and streamlines the use of data management tools that have previously been available only as separate applications. Users of rCloud gain distinct market advantages that include workplace efficiency, data security, program compliance, and ease of reporting. How it works: The rCloud system allows technicians to use their iPhone, Android, or 4G tablet to perform a fully automated blower door or duct test. The rCloud app documents test data that includes a geo-tagged location, the test set-up conditions, photos of the test site, and local weather conditions. In some markets, it can link to local housing data. The rCloud system connects directly to the DM32 WiFi touchscreen smart-gauge to perform any number of tests, and then securely stores all this data and images on a remote server. Technicians or their organizations can share the results immediately by email. Designated users can view the records online. Pricing: $2 US per test. It’s that simple. For each test you do you pay $2 US. However we know that it is often necessary to retest at the same location. As such, with each $2 you can retest as many times as you want within a 30 day timeframe at the same location and the same test type. This means that if you need to do a Blower Door test and a Duct test at the same house, you can redo those tests as many times as you want in the next 30 days and you would pay $2 for the Blower Door test and $2 for the Duct test. There is no limit to the number of users and there is no upfront cost to purchase rCloud. The app is free and includes unlimited users, you simply pay per test stored on the rCloud.
