The incident took place outside Kullu's Bhuntar airport where the CM had gone to receive Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. Although the official version is yet to be given out, it is reliably learnt that Director General of Police Sanjay Kundu has sought a detailed report after which he will give his version. The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan).
