UPDATE FOR 2024 My video is pretty outdated now, but luckily @lusid1games made a tutorial in 2022 with information that is still up to date. I'd suggest watching his video here: • PSP in 2022: How to use the Playstation Store My video is still in the algorithm for some reason, so I'll keep it up to at least direct people to the right place. Chapters: 00:00 - Preface 01:49 - Setting Up a connection through Infrastructure Mode 04:35 - Logging into your PlayStation Network Account 05:29 - Downloading a pre-purchased game from the Download List 07:04 - Purchasing New Games 07:57 - Internet Radio and Extras If any of the information I have supplied here, whether it is in the video, description, or comments, is incorrect, leave a comment letting me know or DM me on Twitter/Reddit. If I see it it will be corrected. UPDATE 10/30/2021 This video has become slightly outdated over the last few months. All of the information is still accurate, however, All purchases now no longer work. I believe you may still be able to access your download list through the store, but that's it. At this point, I would personally recommend people move on to custom firmware, as there are no longer any official ways to purchase PSP games. My CFW of Choice is PRO-C. Also, I'd like to acknowledge a small mistake. Internet Radio does still work but none of the channels are what they claim to be. They seem to have been bought up by foreign countries. The players still play music from them but you won't get the genres the PSP applications say they play. Ever Since the Native Playstation Store on the PSP was shutdown on March 31st, 2016, we get frequent questions in the community about what the PSP can still do. Because the hardware is so old at this point, most people struggle to even make an internet connection. You would think nothing would work anymore but the truth is there's quite a bit that stills does. I'm making this video to go over everything that's still doable and how, so that we have a central hub for all of the information. Keep in mind the internet connections I make in this video are considered outdated and technically unsafe (as the encryption method is so old) so do this at your own discretion. I can't fully explain this myself so here's a direct quote from WordBoxLLC on Reddit who explained it to me: "Worth noting that changing from wpa2 to wpa or wep will make the network attached to it incredibly vulnerable to attacks. This requires someone to be within range of your wireless network - neighbors, passerbys, and wardrivers. If at all possible, don't, or use a router/ap near you and cut the power so the signal doesn't leave your house or general area. And/or whitelist the MAC and only allow your PSP to use the vulnerable SSID. TL;DR: WEP and WPA are magnitudes easier to crack (password) and are simply vulnerable to attacks."
