Drive NYC: State of Emergency Flushing Grocery hunt on a cloudy weekend (4/18/2020)

4/29/2020: There's news that most of these supermarkets listed will now reopen, please check their webpage and social media. For this video, we drive through the neighfborhood of Flushing NY looking for groceries stores that are still open. We start from the Target shopping center near College Point, to Parsons Blvd, then down Union St, to Kissena Blvd, then Horace Harding Expressway, then Main St, then Northern Blvd, and finally back to Union St ending in H-mart's parking lot. The weather was a bit cloudy. I did not record the outside ambience I replaced my family talk with free music from Youtube library. I have also tried to shorten some of the red lights (trimmed 12 minutes of red light time total). The camera was tilted right so more of the sidewalk could be seen. Overall the streets are 80% closed for business. (just call your business before going and you will be fine) In terms of groceries, most American/Western markets are open but Asian ones are closed for various reasons. Rumors range from not enough PPE for employees, to needing disinfection, to small vendors not able to get deliveries. Some markets are semi-permanently/extended closure by boarding up the windows. We also passed the New York Presbytarian Hospital and saw the refigerated trucks for ourselves. This is filmed on April 18, 2020, a Saturday.
