HIKING GREYLOCK IN SNOW: MASSACHUSETTS’ TALLEST MOUNTAIN | CHESHIRE HARBOR TRAIL + APPALACHIAN TRAIL

This video details our day hike to the summit of Mount Greylock on the Appalachian Trail via Cheshire Harbor Trail. Greylock is located just outside of North Adams, Massachusetts and is the tallest mountain summit in the state. It was a beautiful and chilly hike, with temperatures at the trailhead at 28 degrees F. The summit of the mountain had temperatures of approximately 18 degrees Fahrenheit. The trail was pretty icy, so our advice for anyone wanting to replicate our footsteps to bring added foot traction (Kahtoola Microspikes). While we didn’t utilize our Microspikes, we would’ve needed them had we not bushwhacked off trail to avoid the slippery spots on the trail.
