Ultratank is a hybrid of a luxury car Bentley Continental GT and a Tank, which was built in 2019 by Konstantin Zarutsky, known as AcademeG. To build this monster, it was necessary to install a Toyota 3UZ turbocharged eight-cylinder engine with a displacement of 4.3 liters in Bentley. Through various settings, the engine power was brought up to 400 hp. The rejection of the standard power plant, despite its high power, was due to the need to ensure the lowest possible cost of repairs and further improvements. Also had to make a completely new chassis - it took about six months to create the chassis. The DANA 60 continuous axle was used as the rear axle. The transfer case was taken from the GAZ-66. We designed and manufactured the balancing bogies of the rollers ourselves, the shock absorbers were selected with the highest travel from the Audi line. The tracks were made to order. The result was a powerful and fast luxury tank, weighing just over 3 tons. Ground clearance was an impressive 590 mm. The construction of the "Ultratank", according to its creator, cost one hundred thousand dollars! In this form, the Bentley Ultratank took part in the Baikal Mile 2020 festival, which was held in Buryatia on the shores of Lake Baikal. The ultratank "skated" all 4 days of the festival in the "gas to the floor" mode without any breakdowns. At the maximum "boost" gasoline consumption was prohibitive 15 liters per 4 kilometers. (That's 375 liters per hundred!) But for the "Bentley Ultratank" officially secured a speed record of 125 km / h at a distance of 1 mile. The record was entered into the Russian Book of Records. It was not possible to develop more speed, despite even the studding of the caterpillars right in the course of the competition.
