The compressive strength of concrete is typically measured in PSI (pounds per square inch) or MPa (megapascals). Compressive strength measures how much force it takes for the concrete to be crushed or compressed to failure. A couple ways the compressive strength of concrete is commonly measured are penetration resistance testing and drilling core samples.
