Long Haircare: HiBar Shampoo Bar and Conditioner Review | Hair Length Update

A review of the HiBar shampoo and conditioner bars, and an update on my long hair growth progress. I also bought the HiBar face wash bar. I am pleased with the shampoo, conditioner, and face wash. They are gentle, yet effective at cleansing. The conditioner bar is excellent at detangling. HiBar is plastic free as well. In summer of 2022, I started making my own hair wash to reduce plastic bottle use and to try to grow my hair longer. Prior to this, I used shampoos from the store (although from natural brands) and had been using oils (coconut, argan, etc.) for years. However, I wasn’t able to grow my hair longer than about mid-back. When I got away from regular shampoo and started using good long haircare habits (oiling, protective hairstyles such as braiding, and wide tooth wood combs or gentle brushes), I have since been able to grow my hair to its current length. I am just going to keep letting it grow and see how long it will get!
