The Electric Train Service (ETS) has finally been extended to Segamat Railway Station in Johor since 15 March 2025. The Segamat ETS service will operate as an extension of existing ETS Gold Gemas routes, namely the Butterworth – Segamat and Padang Besar – Segamat sectors. Join me on an ETS train journey from Segamat with ETS Gold 9420up to KL Sentral! 🇲🇾🚆 Segamat Railway Station is one of 11 stations in the Gemas - Johor Bahru Electrified Double-Track Project (PLBEGJB), which is expected to be fully completed this year. The ETS service will extend in phases according to the progress of the ongoing project. The new Segamat Railway Station provides the usual range of new station amenities, including a main concourse, ticket and customer service office, toilets, prayer rooms, and upgraded high platforms. Travellers can enjoy a convenient and comfortable experience with ample parking facilities, clean public toilets, and accessible design. Once the Gemas-Johor Bahru EDTP is completed, the new Segamat Railway Station will be part of a modernised rail network that will significantly reduce travel times in the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
