Here we have part one of two a JBTV Classic interview. Former Sex Pistols John Lydon and Smiths drummer Mike Joyce in the band Public Image Limited. This was supporting PIL’s 1992 THAT WHAT IS NOT record. Their last tour before a long pause until 2009. Mike Joyce says the other day’s interview was “dismal” and JBTV should ENTERTAIN them. That other interview was at Chicago’s WXRT radio. We were excited waiting for “Johnny Rotten” when the phone rang and it was PIL’s manager asking if we could “take them early”? we said sure. Something happen at the WXRT interview they walked out. …. Now he’s on the way to see us oh joy I was nervous wondering what had dubya XRT done did ... John has mellowed out now days but those days the reputation pre seeded Mr. Rotten. Jerry was JERRY and we rolled on like JBTV always does. Turned out John and Mike had a great time, it was fun for the whole family oye. They stayed awhile, delighted how we had no rules no agenda no plan and no crew. Yep it was classic JBTV. Look for Part two they chastise the music industry, skewer corporations, generally speaks whatever the fork they wants.
