Season 1: Episode 2 Welcome back to the second episode of our building progress series! Join Brad from Moorland Rovers as he provides an exciting update on the transformation of our new HQ. The vision is rapidly becoming a reality as we push forward to create the premier Land Rover facility in the Southwest.  In this episode, we move from the master plan to major structural execution. From the exterior cladding to the massive mezzanine floor, the site is buzzing with activity as our specialist teams crack on with the build.  What’s new in the HQ: Exterior Cladding: We have started wrapping the building in a 1034 reverse profile, satin black powder-coated aluminium. Insulation: The new sheets are being installed over 180mm of factory-clad insulation to ensure a high-quality finish. The Mezzanine Progress: The team from Underhill Engineering has made significant headway, with two out of three bays already up and the flooring almost complete. Expanded Space: This massive 7,500 sq. ft. second level is taking shape, designed to house our storage, offices, and design studios. The Workshop Floor: To solve previous drainage issues, we have damp-proofed and raised the floor by six inches with a new concrete power float finish. Internal Divisions: Our first internal wall is going up to divide the main workshop from the dedicated paint and body facility. The build journey: We are currently tackling the challenges of an older site head-on. By raising the floor level 6 inches and sealing it with a clear coat, we are ensuring a dry, professional environment for our restoration work.
