Beautiful East Midlands UK tropical exotic jungle style garden that includes many UK winter hardy species such as tetrapanax, trachycarpus, gunnera, cordyline, yucca, phormium, fatsia, hosta, crocosmia, arundo donax, miscanthus, carex, dicksonia, bamboo, rhododendron, azalea, heuchera, asplenium, aucuba, verbena, viburnum, laveteria, buddleia, phoenix date palm, darmera, rodgersia, cypresses, acers and many more. Plus many tender species such as canna, aeonium, begonia, cosmos, bidens, solanum, sempervivum, colocasia, fuschia and many many more species. It was first planted as an exotic garden almost 3 years ago and is situated on a very windy site, but has very high hedges and trees at the south and west edges of the plot. The southern lower part of the garden is boggy and shady whilst the upper part of the garden is sunny and dry. The soil is mostly heavy clay which has been modified.
