Wanted to make a poor man's Ibanez SLM10 and saw this (https://amzn.eu/d/9m7oioR) HSS loaded pickguard on Amazon. Getting a loaded pickguard with Alnico V pickups for 50 bucks feels too good to be true; fortunately, it's a pretty good buy! I've been enjoying my time with it so far. I put it on my Squier Standard Stratocaster but had to redrill a bit because the holes weren't all lined up. Other than that, my Squier now has the tonal versatility to play soaring leads, high gain stuff, dad blues, boomer bends, Jonhh Mayorr, and more at the flick of a switch. .
